A lot of Disney World dining locations have a waitlist option that you can either join in person or via the My Disney Experience app. This is a a good option if you end up not having good luck snagging a reservation. Keep in mind, it’s not a guarantee.
Is Story Book Dining at Artist Point On The Disney Dining Plan?
Yes. Story Book Dining at Artist Point is a 2-credit table service restaurant on the Disney Dining Plan. I personally wouldn’t use my credits for this dinning, but that’s just me. Instead, I’d go with Chef Mickey for example.

What to Expect at Story Book Dining
After you’re seated, you’ll get an autograph card with signatures from the Evil Queen, Snow White, Dopey, and Grumpy. Each time a character enters the dining room, they’re announced, special music plays, and even the tree lights change colors.
There’s also a little parade like performance to themed music. The characters march and dance around the dining room together. It was the highlight of our meal for sure!
Snow White Character Interactions:
Artist Point is such a unique character dining experience because you aren’t meeting your typical Disney characters and princesses.
Each time a character enters the dining room, they are announced and fun special music is played and the trees light up! These little details really add to the immersive story book theme.
Snow White, Dopey and Grumpy each come to your table at least once. All three came to out table at least twice. They love when you ask to take a photo with them. Grumpy was my favorite!
The best part of the dining experience is when the trees lite up and sparkle. Snow White, Dopey and Grim do this cute little mini-parade up and down the dinning area. Snow White sings and dances to themed music while the other 2 dance around. Dopey and Grump will even march and dance around the dining room together.
PhotoPass Opportunity With The Evil Queen
The photo opportunity takes place inside Artist Point, but it’s a separate meet after your meal as she doesn’t go table to table while you eat.
The Queen does make an entrance by walking through the dining room. Instead, at the end of your meal, your server gives your table a royal invitation to meet The Evil Queen.
Once you’re done with dessert and you’ve paid, you’ll then get in line to meet The Queen. All you do is present your invitation to the designated Cast Member. The line to meet her wasn’t long at all. We waited maybe 7 minutes.

Is Story Book Dining at Artist Point Worth it?
Pros:
- Artist Point offers a more unique & immersive character dining experience because you aren’t meeting your typical Disney characters like the Fab 5
- At Walt Disney World, this is your only opportunity to meet the Evil Queen
- Crowd free/ no stress way to meet Snow White and the 7 dwarfs with a immersive themed menu
Cons:
- This is a very popular character meal making it often hard to get, so you have to book far out, and you’ll need to book this dining reservation immediately.
- Not the most convenient location. It can be a pain to get there if you don’t have plans to be at Magic Kingdom that day; or aren’t staying at Wilderness Lodge
- The Queen doesn’t come to your table. Instead, before you leave, you have get in line to meet her
- PhotoPass photos are NOT included with your dining reservation, unless you have a PhotoPass entitlement (Memory Maker or Memory Maker One Day) or are an Annual Passholder with a PhotoPass download benefit.
Ultimately, it really comes down to whether you’re comfortable spending this much on a meal that I’d peg at just a rung below fine dining.
