Make some magical memories at Universal Orlando WITHOUT sacrificing your sanity. Universal is full of exciting things to see and experience.

Whether you are spending one day at Universal or multiple, here's 5 easy tips to help you plan your Universal Orlando vacation.

Wear Comfortable Shoes

  • Bring shoes ALREADY broken in!
  • Walking with blisters: Snake speed
  • Bring a back up pair of sneakers in case one pair gets soaked
  • Ortho Nurse in me: wear shoes with a stiff sole
    • EX: ASICS + New Balance

Sunscreen

  • The number of burnt & miserable guests I’ve seen over the past few weeks..ouch.
  • Apply throughout the day!
    • Stopping for a bathroom break? Perfect opportunity to Reapply!

Know When to Skip The Hogwarts Express

  • It’s not unusual to see a 60-100 min wait when busy. Save precious park time & walk around if the wait is over 40
  • Walking around to either side of the park through CityWalk is about a 15-20 min walk.
    • Yes, a pain in the ass, but waiting that long for a 5 min train ride isn't using your time wisely.

Save Any Rides with Long Waits That You Missed in The AM for the End of The Night

  • Yall know I love getting in line with less than 5 minutes to spare.
  • Wait times decrease in the last few hours the park is open, making it a perfect time to get in line.
  • You’ll also miss the mad rush of people leaving Universal for the night.

Know Your Way Around The Park Ahead of Time

  • Familiarize yourself with general layout of Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure *before* your vacation
    • Particularly where the food & bathrooms are located.
    • What Attractions are in each park.
  • No one wants to navigate through a sea of people to only find out there’s no bathroom ,or quick service food options near by.
