Universal Orlando Announces NEW Escape Room Experience: Universal’s Great Movie Escape – Opening in CityWalk This Fall
Out with the old, in with the new! Universal Orlando has announced Universal’s Great Movie Escape – featuring 2 “next-level” escape room experiences inspired by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s iconic blockbuster films Jurassic World and Back to the Future. 
“Concepted and designed by the same creative masterminds responsible for the wildly immersive haunts of Halloween Horror Nights, Universal’s Great Movie Escape will bring two distinct and extraordinary escape adventures to the heart of Universal CityWalk,” Universal said in a news release. “Through interactive state-of-the-art missions, captivating storytelling and intricately detailed sets, guests will be swept into the dinosaur adventures of Jurassic World or the time-traveling chaos of Back to the Future as they solve their way through a multi-sensory experience like no other.”
Located next Antojitos at CityWalk, Universal’s Great Movie Escape will open later this fall, and tickets will go on sale in the months ahead.
Universal’s Great Movie Escape takes over The Groove nightclub which officially closed in late 2021.
It’s really exciting to see a new immersive experience added to CityWalk. Particularly for folks who might be in the Orlando area, but unable to budget for Universal Park tickets.
CityWalk offers free parking after 6, so this Is a cool experience to add during your next Orlando vacation. I can’t wait to check it out.
