REVIEW: ALL Food & Drinks at the 2024 Weeknd Nightmare Trilogy Bar at Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights

The Weeknd has returned to Universal Studios Hollywood for Halloween Horror Nights 2024!
At Universal Hollywood’s HHN33, you can experience The Weeknd’s Nightmare Trilogy Haunted House, and The Weeknd bar that has fun themed drinks and saw blade pizzas. The themed rooftop bar is one of my favorite parts about visiting Universal Hollywood during HHN season.
I tried everything on The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy bar menu to see what’s worth ordering, and what you can skip to save money.
Disclaimer: I attended opening night as a media guest. As a foodie and someone who LOVES The Weekend, my reviews remain unbiased and all opinions are my own.
Just like in 2022, The Weeknd’s Nightmare Trilogy Haunted House was my first house for HHN Hollywood 2024!
After attending the media reception, and knocking out the 4 haunted houses in the Lower Lot, we headed to upstairs to purchase all the items on The Weeknd’s Bar menu so you don’t have to.

The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy Bar Theme

The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy is bar themed to The Weeknd and his album After Hours, Dawn FM, and his new upcoming album that has appeared during Universal Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights 2024.

The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy Bar Menu

Located in Lower Lot above “Jurassic World—The Ride.” Here you’ll find 4 themed cocktails and 2 flatbread pizza’s.

Too Late

Tequila, raspberry puree and peach and lime juice garnished with a grenadine-filled syringe and red light up cube $18.00
While this was the strongest out of the 3 Weeknd themed cocktails, it was my least favorite. The grenadine made it way too sweet.
Make sure you mix this drink really well with the syringe before drinking.
Noteworthy— The syringe can hard to use, as it seems to get stuck. Don’t wear white if you plan to drink this drink, the syringe is known to splatter everwhere.

Molly from Mammoth Club took one for the team and mixed the "Too Late" cocktail!

How Do I Make you Love Me?

Rum, peach and passion fruit puree and lemonade served with an orange light up cube and dark chocolate butterfly $18.00
This was my absolute favorite out of the 3 alcoholic drinks! Light and refreshing despite this being another pre-made drink. Really appreciated this drink wasn’t too too sweet. If you like a hard lemonade with a tropical twist, order this one!
The butterfly is edible chocolate. I always save the souvenir glow cube’s to take home to Carson, hehe.

Is There Someone Else?

Vodka, blue curaçao, lime juice and Sprite soda garnished with a multicolor light up cube and a gummy eyeball $18.00
This was a fun drink! It reminded me of the college day, when you'd spike a fun Sprite flavor with alcohol. Taste wise, It reminded me of a fizzy blue "Slush Puppie Blue Fizzie" drink.
The candy gummy eyeball has a sour watermelon jelly on the inside. I enjoyed it!

Out of Time

Cola, raspberry and ginger syrup and a red light up cube, topped with strawberry heart jellies (Non-Alcoholic option) $15.00
The Out of Time cola is basically a cherry coke on the sweeter side. The strawberry heart jellies on top I actually really enjoyed. Instead of tasting super fake, these tasted more natural.
I appreciate Universal Studios Hollywood offering a non-alcoholic option, but this is absolutely not worth $15.00. Is it instagram worthy for photos.. HECK YAH, but I’d put that $15.00 towards something else in my opinion.

Heartless Gummy Candy

Cherry flavored gummy heart $5.99
Please save your money, and get something else! Or at least split it with a friend to save money. While these Heartless Gummies are super cool and very Insta worthy, you're basically just eating a fancy cherry flavored gummy.

Halloween Horror Nights Cookie

Sugar cookie with chocolate icing $5.99
Another pass unless you are crazing something sweet, and want something small. The Halloween Horror Nights Cookie tasted like your typical soft sugar cookie with royal icing. Not bad at all, tasted like a cookie you would grab at Publix.

Saw Blade Flatbread (Short Rib)

Braised short rib, mozzarella cheese, mushrooms, spicy tomato sauce and ranch drizzle $14.99

DON’T SLEEP ON THIS FLATBREAD PIZZA!

If you love dipping your pizza slices into ranch dressing, you're going to really enjoy this one. This is a yummy, savory white pizza with the perfect amount of ranch.
Just make sure you eat it rather quickly after you order. We got distracted with the music + vibes, and noticed the saw blade crust got soggy after sitting due to the sauce on top.

Saw Blade Flatbread (Mushroom)

Mushrooms, roasted tomato, mozzarella cheese, green pepper, crispy onion and spicy tomato sauce $12.99
Vegetarians, this pizza is for you! It’s hearty, and topped full with veggies and crispy onions. it reminded me the Domino's veggie supreme pizza. Veggies were fresh, and the spicy tomato sauce isn't too overpower at all.

Other Drink Options at The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy Bar

Did You Know The Drinks at The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy Bar Include Details from inside the Weeknd’s Haunted House?

  • The chocolate butterfly garnish on top of the "How Do I Make You Love Me?" drink can be found in the last surgery room with Baby Weeknd. There are black butterflies on the walls of the Haunted House.
  • In 1 room of The Weeknd's haunted house, it’s filled with giant eyeballs, some of which were secretly scare actors that jump out at you.
The shape of the bar pizzas are inspired by the saw blades that can be found in the “Heartless” room of the Weekn'd’s 2024 Haunted House.
if you’re attending Halloween Horror Nights 2024 at Universal Hollywood, make sure to take a break and enjoy The Weeknd Nightmare Trilogy Bar. It really does have some of the best drinks, and the vibes are just immaculate.

Is It Worth Stopping By The Weeknd Nightmare Trilogy Bar at Universal Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights in 2024?

Yes! This bar is absolutely a must-do HHN33 experience! It's exclusive to Universal Studios Hollywood this year, and it's the perfect spot to rest your feet before heading upstairs to conquer the Upper Lot HHN offerings.
If you experienced The Weeknd AfterHours Bar in 2022, we can all agree the drinks were too sweet, and the pizza + fries were garbage. I PROMISE YOU the cocktails and food are way, way better this year!
