2024 Review: Grand Legacy at the Park
Are you looking for an affordable & clean and hotel for your next trip to Disneyland?
I visit Southern California pretty frequently to cover different attractions, after hours events, hotels, and all aspects of Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood to help you have the best trip.
Grand Legacy at the Park is a moderate Good Neighbor Hotel, and if one of the closest hotels to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
When looking for a hotel off Disneyland Property, The Grand Legacy at the Park is less than half a mile from Disneyland, making it one of the best options. the Grand Legacy offers convenience, comfort, and spacious rooms.
In this hotel review— I’ll share my experience staying at the Grand Legacy, and everything you need to know so you can decide if its’s the best hotel for your next Disneyland Resort vacay.
Grand Legacy at the Park location
Park Address: 1650 S Harbor Blvd Anaheim, CA 92802
Grand Legacy at the Park is on the corner of South Harbor Boulevard and Disney Way. I love that its a very easy walk with no hills and only one stoplight crosswalk.
About a 5 minute walk from the hotel to the main gate of Disneyland Resort. A15 minute walk to Downtown Disney.
With this hotel being right across the street from the Disneyland, you can actually see a lot of the DCA attractions right from the hotel rooftop bar, The FIFTH. From the street, you can see one of my favorite rides, Guardians of the Galaxy.
It’s closer to the park than every on-site Disneyland hotel, including the Grand Californian (although the Grand Californian is closer to Disney California Adventure).
The Grand legacy is right off of the I-5 Freeway. Making it easy to visit other nearby attractions. 15 minutes to Knott's Berry Farm, and 45 minutes from Universal Studios Hollywood.
The closest airport is John Wayne Airport. It is approximately 20ish minutes.

Grand Legacy at the Park Room Options
The biggest differences between room types at the Grand Legacy is room size, bed size, bathroom size, and view. Roll-away beds and cribs are available on request, and fit best in the two queen rooms.
Each room is has a mini fridge, coffee maker, and microwave.
Luxury Room
Located in the new tower on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors, the luxury rooms have 2 queen beds. Most of the Luxury Rooms have a single sink which is separated from the other half of the bathroom.
Set up wise, you may get a desk and desk chair as opposed to a round table with a chair. It's pretty standard to have benches at the foot of each bed for additional seating.
Premier Room
325 sq ft. with 2 queen beds, and a table and chairs. There's plenty of space in this type of room. Most of the Premier Room bathroom areas have a double sink.
Classic Rooms
225 sq ft and comes with 2 full-size beds. The bathroom has one sink which is in the same area as the toilet and shower/tub.
Deluxe Room
300 sq ft.
There’s a single sink with either 1 kind or 2 queen beds.
Legacy Suites
There’s a 3 Room Suite at 950 sq ft, and a 2 Room Suite at 630 sq ft.
They both have a parlor with a queen sofa sleeper, coffee table, cushioned chair with a footstool, and a table with chairs.
Luxury Plus Room
The Luxury Plus Rooms are located in the south tower of the Grand Legacy.
You can choose a room with 1 king bed or 2 queen beds. Decor wise-there’s Disney-inspired wall art. Most Luxury Plus rooms will have double sinks but not all of them. The rooms have a small table and chairs.
Families will appreciate all the extra room. In this room, you won’t have to worry about feeling cramped with all your luggage, park items and kiddos.
The bathroom has two sinks separated by a door toilet and shower/tub privacy. Having this type of split bathroom is such a game changer for families all trying to get ready around the same time.

FAQ About The Grand Legacy
Can you really see the Disneyland Fireworks from the Grand Legacy Hotel?
Yes! The best views are from the Fifth Rooftop Bar & Restaurant or one of the Luxury View rooms, Luxury Plus rooms, or Legacy Suites.
There is also a great view from the pool area.
Is the Grand Legacy a good hotel for Rope Dropping or staying for Park Close?
Yes— your tired eyes and feet will thank you for being closer to the park. Especially the extr few minutes of sleep you can get in the mornings.
I often close out the parks for those empty shots or attend after-hours events. Being able to get back to the room, shower and be in bed within 30 minutes is a game changer.
Is it easy to go back to the hotel for midday Disneyland break?
100% yes!! We went back to the hotel around 12pm for a quick nap/ break from the heat.
Overall Review of Grand Legacy At The Park:
If you’re looking for a safe, clean, The Grand Legacy is 100% a good option for those looking for one of the most convenient places to stay near Disneyland. It's a fantastic choice, and it’s my go to hotel when visiting Disneyland .
The check in process is always seamless. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful.
Room wise- The rooms are decently sized. I really love that the Stroller fits in the room without being in the way. The Beds and pillows are comfy. Shower AND bath tub options is such a plus if you have littles. If you’re a large family with multiple kids, these rooms might be a bit tight on space for you.
Pool— very kid friendly. There’s a walk in shallow end, Floaties and Towels are available at the pool, too.
Onsite laundry- Having a washer and dryer onsite has come in really handy when Cameron had some blowouts. The laundry room however, only takes quarters. There is no change machine, but the front desk will give you change.
It’s also really nice feeling safe walking back from the park late at night to the Grand Legacy when it’s just me and the baby.
Things to Consider Before Booking The Grand Legacy :
The Grand Legacy at the Park doesn't provide airport transfer services
No fitness center amenities
I recommend upgrading your room to a Luxury Room level for the extra floor space
The Classic Rooms are best for the budget-conscious folks
Consider upgrading the Luxury Room to a Luxury View Room so you can see the Disneyland fireworks
If you have littles- they can watch the fireworks from the comfort of the hotel, instead of dealing with the crowds all leaving Disneyland
