What is Gringotts The Money Exchange?
This Is where you can actually exchange your Muggle money for Gringotts money!
Once you switch out your muggle currency for Gringotts bank notes, these can be used throughout the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and at select locations in both Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.
Bank Notes Can be Used as Currency
Bank notes come in $10 or $20 denominations. You can use them to purchase food, drinks, snacks, beer, and merchandise. Unused wizard money can be switched back into U.S. currency at Guest Services.
The Gringotts bank notes also make for a fun souvenir to frame back home.

Inside Diagon Alley at back of Carkitt Market, which is in Universal Studios Florida. You could easily walk past this spot & not realize what you’re missing out on!
The Goblin Interaction
Even If buying the bank notes isn’t in your budget next trip, you can still go in!You don’t have to buy anything to interact with the Goblin.
Ask the Goblin a question and see what he has to say. For the most part, the goblin can and will answer your questions with one or two word sentences, but don’t be surprised if you ask him about something not related to his work, Harry Potter or Universal and he just shakes his head. Make sure you ask him if you can have a bank note.
Pro TIP— It can be noisy inside so speak loudly.
Merchandise Sold at Gringotts Money Exchange
Since the focus is on the Gringotts Bank notes, there’s not a lot of merchandise sold inside. There is a small selection of Gringotts themed items such as gold bags, coin pouches, Niffler plushies, wallets, pins, mugs, replica figurines, Gold bar replicas, and more.
Inexpensive WWoHP Souvenir
My first trip, I could use up all my Gringotts money, so it came home with us and to this day, it’s one of the most unique Harry Potter souvenirs.
I added mine into a shadowbox commemorating my first trip, but you could scrapbook it or have it framed.
