2024 Must-Pack Essentials for Rainy Days at Universal Orlando Resort

In this post, you’ll learn exactly what to bring to Universal Orlando, during rainy season. Yes, Florida gets quite a bit of rain. Especially in the Summer and during Hurricane Season (June – November).

What to Pack for Rainy Days at Universal Orlando

Don’t panic if there’s a lot of rain predicted during your trip. Not only is the forecast never spot on, but you can still have a ton of FUN universal in the rain.
As you know, rainy days at Universal are actually some of my personal favorites! Crowds are typically lower than usual, ride wait times go down as people dip back to their hotels.

Don’t forget the stroller cover like we did, HA!

Rain Essentials for Universal Orlando

When doing Universal Orlando in the rain, you absolutely need to bring either a rain jacket, umbrella or poncho.
Umbrella
  • If using a fanny pack, just make sure your umbrella and other items will fit okay.

  • I personally prefer using a small collapsible umbrella.

Rain jacket

  • When choosing aGo with a very lightweight jacket that can roll up nice and tight making it easier to store in your backpack.

Poncho

  • You don’t really need anything fancy. You can get cheap one from the dollar store prior to your trip.
  • Don’t waste $25.00 on one sold at Universal Orlando.

Extra Pair of Socks

  • Theres’s nothing worse than walking around a theme park with soaked shoes and socks.

Anti-Chafe Upper Thigh Stick

Megababe Thigh RescueL, Chub Rub and Body Glide For He Have worked well for me.

Ziplock Bag

  • Use for wet items like socks, and umbrella. It’ll keep everything else dry from your rain gear/wet clothing.

Waterproof Phone Pounch

  • Worth bringing if you plan to do a lot of the water rides at Universal Orlando or Volcano Bay.

Stroller Cover

  • If you're bringing a stroller to the park You 100% need a stroller cover. Please get a good one that fits your stroller properly.
  • There is nothing worse than the cover falling off while walking, causing your littles AND the stroller to get absolutely soaked.
  • If there’s the SLIGHTEST change of rain, always cover your parked stroller. I’ve just gotten into the habit of always putting the stroller cover in the underneath area of the stroller.
