For the first time, the Harry Potter New York is celebrating the holidays! The store has been transformed into a whimsical gingerbread-themed wonderland, offering festive treats, exclusive holiday experiences, and immersive activities to make your visit even more magical. 

"The holidays are the most magical time of the year, and we know many fans associate the season with Harry Potter, so we're thrilled to offer new opportunities for them to celebrate with even more magic at the store," said Joel Gonzalez, Executive Director, Flagship Retail Operations. 

"From our gingerbread-inspired windows to the glittering Christmas trees throughout each section of the store and additional holiday-themed experiences, fans will feel immersed in a wintery wizarding world, making it the perfect way for locals and visitors to get in the spirit and spread cheer."

Once you walk in, you'll immediately feel that cozy Harry Potter feeling we all get around Christmas time. From gorgeous festive decor and glittering Christmas trees, get ready to feel immersed and inspired by iconic moments from the Harry Potter franchise.

Interactive Experiences:

Inspired by the Christmas trees found in the Great Hall, Harry Potter New York has added 8 uniquely decorated Christmas trees to the store this holiday season. 

You’ll find these themed Christmas in different sections of the store. Each tree has been decorated with its own set of ornaments to feel connected to nostalgic elements from the Harry Potter books and films.

Christmas Tree Trail Scavenger Hunt

To make your store experience the most magical, you can check out every tree by doing the Christmas tree trail scavenger hunt. After entering the store, you can pick up a tree trail map to guide your experience. 

Once you complete the Christmas Tree Trail Scavenger Hunt head to the check out area to get your complimentary Harry Potter New York pin!

Festive Photo Opportunities

Capture the holiday magic by snapping a festive photo alongside the life-sized Hagrid surrounded by snowflakes. Harry Potter New York's new green screen broomstick experience gives you the opportunity to fly over a snowy Hogwarts scene as one of your photo's.

Per Harry Potter New York, “To continue keeping the magic alive, a new interactive wand experience, coming to the store soon, will be sure to delight every Harry Potter fan.”

Harry Potter New York has introduced a new line of limited-time holiday products. If you're looking for the perfect gift or souvenir, there's cozy Hedwig-inspired hoodies, Chocolate Frog ornaments, Hogwarts-themed Christmas mugs, and there's even matching adult and child holiday pajamas!

To elevate your holiday experience, Harry Potter New York is also featuring festive, limited-time holiday treats. These are available both in-store at the Butterbeer Bar and on Grubhub.

Mrs. Weasley’s Pie

This is Harry Potter New York's take on Molly Weasley's pie. It features sweet caramelized spiced apples in a flaky golden crust. With each bite, you'll enjoy the perfect balance of fruity freshness and holiday spices.

Yule Ball Dress Gingerbread Cookie— $9.50

A gingerbread base with hints of ginger, vanilla, clove, and cinnamon. Topped with a white chocolate exterior, this cookie is sure to capture everyone’s attention with its shimmering pink ombré finish!

The Golden Egg— $15.00

A milk chocolate shell with an interior layer of marshmallow, rice cereal, and graham cracker. Topped off with an edible gold exterior, this treat will have you singing with joy in each bite.

Sock Donation 

This holiday season, Harry Potter New York has partnered with local charity Knock Knock Give a Sock to collect sock donations for those in need at local shelters. Socks are the most needed yet least donated article of clothing, so this is a fabulous opportunity to give back and spread warmth and kindness this season.

You can donate by bringing a new pair of socks to any register for an employee to add to the collection bin, starting November 12 - December 25. 

Note— Socks must be in pairs and can be any size/type. Socks do NOT need to be purchased at Harry Potter New York! For each pair of socks donated, Harry Potter New York will make a contribution to Knock Knock Give a Sock.  

Complimentary Guided Tours

To celebrate Harry Potter New York new holiday exeperiences, the store is offering free 30-minute guided tours of the store. These tours highlight the most magical areas of the flagship location, including displays of iconic props from the Harry Potter films. 

The tours are being held every Saturday through December 25. These tours are first-come, first-served and limited to 10 participants Tours start every hour from 9 AM to 6 PM, beginning at the Butterbeer Bar.
