5 Mistakes to Avoid When Visiting Universal Orlando Resort
Are you getting ready to visit Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, and want to make the most of your vacation?
Or maybe you’ve already visited and want to have an even better trip this time. By avoiding these common mistakes, you’ll have a great time at Universal!
Mistake #1
Not Buying Park-to-Park Tickets To see all of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you need a Park to Park ticket.
Get discount Universal Orlando Tickets from an authorized retailer! I’d recommend Undercover Tourist as they offer special rates for hotel and car rental. Undercover Tourist will often times have a Buy 3 Get 2 Days free promo going on!
Mistake #2
Skipping breakfast before entering the parks
You’re going to be doing a lot of walking! Eat at the hotel, or even in line while waiting for the turnstiles to open! Save leftovers to snack on in the park (cereal + bagels)
Mistake #3
Not Staying Hydrated
Pack a refillable watter bottle, or plan to buy a Coca-Cola Freestyle cup. The Freestyle refill program entitles you to unlimited free refills at any Freestyle station in the park for the day. After that, you can purchase extra days for a much lower price
Any restaurant serving fountain drinks will give you free cups of ice water should you forget. You can also place an order of groceries via Amazon Prime Pantry, or Instant Cart. You’ll meet your delivery driver at the main entrance of your hotel.
Mistake #4
Not knowing your dining options ahead of time.
Don’t miss out on some yummy food experiences. Eating on the fly at a nearby quick service spot will be just fine, but there’s so many great options like Mythos and Finnigan’s. It’s also a great way to take a break in the air conditioned. Don’t forget the snacks to hold you over during the day!
Mistake #5
Not Wearing the right clothing + shoes
Make sure your shoes are worn in and comfortable! If doing water rides, I can’t stress enough the importance of packing + wearing dri-fit clothing, & water friendly shoes!
There’s nothing worse than walking around a theme park with soaked sneakers, so pack extra socks too
Pro Tip: If your socks get soaked with no backup in the park, you can ask one of the gift shops employees for two small plastic bags to wrap your feet in. It'll create a barrier between your feet and the soaked shoes.
